Helmets reduce the risk of head and brain injuries. Whether your riding a bike, skateboarding, riding a scooter, skating, snowboarding or riding a horse...remember helmets work!  For more information on helmet safety please visit the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's recommendation for helmet safety.  U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission

To make sure you get the most benefit from a helmet, follow these recommendations:

  • Measure your head before you purchase a helmet.

  • Make sure the helmet is approved by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

  • The helmet should fit snug and sit level on your head.

  • The straps should form a "v" under your ear.
